16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
The new DOTAC Social Justice Committee is planning on supporting “16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence“ https://www.oikoumene.org/events/16-days-against-sexual-and-gender-based-violence from November 25 (International Day Elimination of Violence against Women) and December 10 (International Human Rights Day). A planning team will lead online sessions using WCC resources.
- Facilitating bible, and other, studies.
- Organizing worship and prayer times at the beginning and end of the period.
- Exploring action options to address issues of gender-based violence.
Quilters may be interested in contributing a fabric square for the tapestry “Waterfall of Solidarity and Resistance” related to the “Thursdays in Black: Toward a World without Rape or Violence” movement that will be used at the next World Council of Churches Assembly.
